Recreation Facilities & Locations

• First Street Playground

Located at First Street and Hal McRae Blvd.  Has available public restrooms, basketball court and playground equipment.

• Donaldson Park

Located at Lake Verona in downtown Avon Park across from City Hall.  The playground consists of Playground equipment, restrooms, barbeque grills, shaded shelters and a beach area.  Perfect for Picnics or even a party.  Just call us at (863) 452-4414 and ask us for details.

• Durrah Martin Complex

Located at 620 S. Self Street behind the Winn Dixie Store.  Consists of playground equipment, shaded shelters, barbeque grills and 4 Baseball Fields.

• Memorial Field

Located on State Street next door to the Recreation Center.   Has a football field, two (2) soccer fields, a quarter mile track, playground equipment, and a shaded picnic shelter.

• Head Field Complex

This Complex has one (1) Baseball Field and one (1) practice field and is located at West Winthrop Street.

• Lucy Derkman Softball Complex

Located at North Anoka Ave next to the Avon Elementary School.

• Tennis Courts

Located at North Verona Ave, there are 4 courts for your enjoyment.

• Walnut Street Park

Located at Walnut Street, this park has a Baseball Field, Outdoor Basketball Court and a Playground perfect for a family outing, something for everyone to enjoy.

• Activities Club

Located at 109 East Main Street.  Shuffleboard and other social activities for Senior Citizens.

*All parks and fields are open to the public from sunrise to one hour after sunset, unless otherwise authorized.
