Garage Sale Permits

Garage Sale Permits can be purchased at Avon Park City Hall 110 E. Main St at the Utility Billing Department for residents residing within the City of Avon Park.

City Hall is opened from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays.

The City of Avon Park ordinance provides that garage sales, held in the city limits cannot exceed three (3) in numbers during any twelve (12) month period, not to exceed two (2) days in length.  Permits are for only residential zoned areas.  A new permit must be obtained before each sale.  The cost of the permit is $2.00.

For those residents living outside the city, garage sale permits can be purchased at the Highlands County Tax Collector’s office located at 116 E. Main Street.
