Boards & Commissions


All meetings are open to the public and held at the City Council Chambers, 123 E. Pine Street.

If you would like to serve on the Main Street CRA or Southside CRA Advisory Boards, you must complete the statutory requirements by completing CRA Advisory Board Questionnaire.

Airport CRA + Airport Advisory Board - No openings
Meeting held the second Monday of each month at 12 noon. This is a seven-member board with two alternate members. They are residents of the area appointed by the City Council for terms of four years each.

Main Street CRA Advisory Board - No openings
Meeting held on the third Monday of each month at 5pm. This is a seven-member commission with two alternate commissioners. The commissioners must live in, own a business in or be employed in the CRA district and be appointed by the City Council for a four-year term.

Southside CRA Advisory Board - No openings
Meeting held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. This is a seven-member commission with two alternate commissioners. The commissioners must live in, own a business in or be employed in the CRA district and be appointed by the City Council for a four-year term.

Planning and Zoning Board - No Openings
Meeting held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. This is a seven-member board with two alternate board members. The members must be a resident or own property in the City of Avon Park and be appointed by the City Council for a three-year term.
